ARE YOU LAUGHING?

I was reading a post earlier this week that spoke of how when in the moments of laughter one can not be expressing anger or hate and such. What an interesting thought…how true. I can be laughing and in the moments that follow become angry…but I cannot do joy and anger together in the same moment. On the other hand we are totally able to express emotions such as anger, hatred, jealousy, envy all at the same time. We can also express laughter, joy, gentleness, compassion, kindness and the like at the same time…but these do not mix with…

PLEASING GOD

Its seems we are all apt to make our own views and interpretations the standard of truth…to think our thoughts to be certain which to others appear doubtful. The differences in our truths are the source of most relational failures. This is especially true amongst Christians. We often take offence…even despise or condemn each other over differing opinions.   In Romans 14:7- 18 we read…”None of us lives to himself [but to the Lord], and none of us dies to himself [but to the Lord, for]…………Why do you criticize and pass judgment on your brother?     What would you do if you wanted a child of your own so bad but knew that that child would require a serious operation that would take time to heal? Would you have the child? Well consider this…God did. Yes, that man would fall into sin was not a surprise to God. Quite the contrary…in the beginning when God, Jesus and Holy Spirit in Gen 1:26-27 conversed to form man they knew how mankind would play out. Yet Their passion to have love upon that which would be beyond Their Self…moved Them forward with a plan to reconcile…

The average driver travels hundreds if not thousands of miles each year in the dark. On a clear day in the daylight one is able to see up to 30 miles and more. But at night that distance could be reduced to twenty feet without any lighting. Absent of additional lighting… turning on the vehicle headlights increases our visibility to an average of 150 feet. Yet its full speed ahead…a hundred kilometres and more per hour…with little concern for beyond what we are able to see in the moment. Can you see where I am going with this? Psalms…

GOOD

In the first two chapters of Genesis the writer shares with us the order of creation. The beginning of all that is…and is to come. Nothing was by chance. All that was created sprang forth at the biding of His spoken words fulfilling the passionate desires of His heart. Love was in motion…creating that which it purposed to be intimate with.  At the end of each day…Gen 1:21b tells us…”And God saw that it was good (suitable, admirable) and He approved it. And God blessed them”. Now we know every inspired written word in scripture has purpose. Unlike the…
