ALL IS WELL

When praying last night during a time of worship…I was acknowledging to the Lord that I need Him in my life. I was quickened to “do you need me when things are good”. Don’t you just love it when the Lord challenges us? He knows when the heart is ready to go deeper and does not hesitate to take us there. His questions dare us to follow Him into intimacy. This particular question is one for us all to consider. His point is well taken as we are likely…all in different degrees…to give Him are most attention when…

IT’S A GIFT

If we find ourselves in a repeating cycle from which we are trying to break free…then perhaps we may wish to consider the following. When things such as your car breaks down or your stove element will not turn on…we get them fixed. Most things are fixable. But then before we realize it there it is again and we repeat the cycle and try again. Truth is that forgiveness cleanses…

Marcia Maciel Degollado was the founder and lifelong director of the Catholic order of the “Legionaries of Christ”. Its ordained purpose was to recruit young men into the church priesthood. His apparent success gave him great authority and power among his peers which ultimately lead to a life of financial corruption and sexual abuse with young…

ARE YOU BEING PUNISHED?

The other day a client expressed to me how God must be punishing him for his wrong doings. It surprises me just how many Christians believe that God is still into punishment. Perhaps it depends on our definition of the word. To punish means to “inflict a penalty or sanction on (someone) as retribution for an offence, especially a transgression of a legal or moral code”. In other words making someone pay for what they did…in many instances it is an act of vengeance. If one believes God will punish us for our sin then what did John…
