The teaching that we find throughout the New Testament is to pray to Father God…in the name of Jesus the Son…in the power of Holy Spirit.   In the power of Holy Spirit is to do so in reliance upon His help.     In Num 11 we read the story of how the Israelites complained about only having manna to eat. They wanted meat. It wasn’t that they were lacking nutrition…they just wanted a change from the everyday manna. So here is my question…was the Lord being unfaithful with His people? Or was the daily supply of manna actually a display of His faithfulness? His people wanted more…they were tired of the same food every meal. But is getting what we desire an expression of God’s faithfulness? I remember a time as a young boy of 6 or 7…not sure…I saw…

  Last week I shared on doing violence in the spiritual through rest. This week I would like to address…is it appropriate to do spiritual warfare in anger towards the enemy…be it against man or demon.   Jesus is always our example to all matters of living this life.     Some time ago I recall walking into a prayer meeting where they were interceding for the city. I stopped frozen in the doorway…what is this? People were shouting at the top of their voices with arms waving…some bouncing up and down. For the most part their words felt scriptural and sincere with the few exceptions of expressions of distain and hate for their enemies. As a newer Christian the experience left me shaken. I remained at the back of the room trying to make sense of it. Yet strangely it never turned me away…rather it pulled me in…

     In Psalms 66:1 David speaks…“Make a joyful noise unto God, all the earth”. Have you ever pondered the depth of these words…”make a joyful noise”? David implies that it is for each one of us to make our own noise. A noise that is birthed out of our own relationship with God. He speaks of this 6 times in the Psalms giving suggestions to do so through shouts, dance, expressions of praise and singing. David’s noise worked up to the surface from his deep feelings for the Lord. They were not the works of religious requirements or traditions…or…
